Melanie B - I Want You Back

"I Want You Back" was Melanie B's first solo single in which Melanie teamed up with Missy Elliott. The single was the first solo project from any Spice Girl. Released on 14th September 1998, the single shot to #1 on the day of the last concert of the Spice Girls' world tour, and it sold around 80,000 copies in its first week. The single went on to sell 222,800 copies, and was the 82nd best seller of 1998. "I Want You Back" had no US release, though the single was on the soundtrack to "Why Do Fools Fall In Love?", but a promo CD was released to US radio to promote the soundtrack. However, there was no chart success for "I Want You Back" in the USA.
